Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and the London residence of His Majesty the King and it is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. With an included multimedia guide, you learn all about the secrets of the palace and stunning facts about the royal family, the rooms and the decorations.

The palace is not being used in its official capacity in July, August and September and is therefore open to the public. Here you visit the State Rooms, which form the heart of the working palace. Among the rooms you visit are the White Drawing Room, the Throne Room and the impressive Ballroom. The rooms are all beautiful decorated - this includes paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto and some of the finest English and French furniture.

Besides getting access to Buckingham Palace, you also visit the Royal Mews, which are filled with carriages used by the royal family through history - some of them are still being used to this very day.

Among the carriages you see inside the Royal Mews are The Scottish State Coach, The Diamond Jubilee State Coach and The Gold State Coach - the latter has been used for coronations. It is filled with gold and symbolic figures and even has beautiful art details on each side of the coach. It's hard to imagine the beauty of the Royal Mews and Buckingham Palace, so you better find out for yourself! 

You end the tour with a walk along the south side of the Palace garden, which splendid views of the west front of the palace and the famous lake.
